Those OTS "tunes" are sketchy. A ProTune is the best way to go about it, but they are not always accessible for everyone because they can be kind of pricy and sometimes depending on where you live can involve traveling. If you want, I'm sure Holy can throw together an E-Tune for you for cheaper than going to a Tune shop. And it will be more specific to your car than the COBB AP OTS map.

droopys How did you determine that you were overboosting to 20psi? Do you have a gauge installed (I can't recall) or did you read this on the AP? Other helpful information would be what gear you were in at what speed, when you pinned it WOT and this happen.

I used my ap to show boost but when I check on data log it was near the top of third I usually shift at 6 when I'm on it

Was that the only instance? I don't always trust the AP on boost numbers or AFRs. It could have read high for a split second when you lifted off the gas, the throttle plate closed and your BPV was just starting to open. I've seen the AP do some strange things like that. If it was reading 20 psi sustained while you were WOT, then maybe there is an issue.

It was at the shift point so ap reading bad but it also feels like I'm having surge I've been searching this online all over

It sounds like it was a bad reading. The compressor surge is a different story though. When are you noticing compressor surge, while in high gear, low speed and high load...or when shifting?

Feels more like mid sometimes I did some hard accelerations last night didn't have any issue on my acceleration but had some on my way to work on a load. Say I was cruising 65 put in 5th gave it gas it would best than drop and boost again... it doesn't seem to happen if I've been hard on it. Would this have anything to do with waste gate?

5th gear at 65 and mashing the throttle could cause this from what I've seen. Try dropping a gear when you want to hit it.
OTS maps seem to this more often. I think it has something to do with the waste gate duty cycle and the loads present at the time with the wrong gear choice.
There is a tolerance or accepted variance with boost on the OTS maps. It should be listed on Cobb's notes of their maps.
Check with Cobb's maps notes and maybe shoot them an email or give them a call.
Id say if your not overboosting in all gears, it just may be an issue with your driving style.
