08 STi Fuel Pump Swap Onto An 02 WRX

Okay another question that I think might help future members. Mark aka Vermont, gave me his fuel pump of his 08 STi to swap with my 02 WRX fuel pump. After some research trying to find out if the STi pump would plug right in Ive come across different answers so wondering if anyone has any experience in this. Nastioc says that from 08+ STi's switched over to a Legacy style pump but most vendors advertise their pumps as universal across the board. So if anyone can share some info would be greatly appreciated.

My technical view on this is that It will fit if you can make the electrical connection. Modification to the Stock fuel pump assembly up to the 07 is very easy. If the electrical connections are the same I would say that you are in luck, I cannot confirm for this as I haven't seen an 08 pump in hand to compare it.

Either way, its easier and more effective to slap on a whinebro in there.
