Yeah I agree. I'm a little biased because I......very, very strongly dislike DSM's and think they're pieces of junk....Anyway, he had to be on the spray. The fact that it was automatic could have helped, but that also makes it a little slower. I'm thinking they lied about what was really under the hood of that POS.

Probably lighter and launches better longer gears perhaps? Also the spool sounded instantaneous on the DSM and not so much on the subaru. I don't think it's spraying at all. You would've heard/seen something to indicate that it was. the DSM seemed more smooth and the subies didn't. IMO
then DSMs are kind of sweet I used to love those when I was a kid those are honestly the best generation eclipses. Rest of them are ehhhh and that's being nice...actually the progressively got worse after that gen.

A Chief on my first ship had a sub-10 second DSM that was an autmatic. He swore by a built automatic for drag racing.
