Ok so, in a different thread I posted that I'm finally getting a different carbon fiber hood than the one I already have.
Problem is, the guy says his just needs a new clearcoat, and he's willing to throw $100 on top of the trade to help pay for the clearcoat.
Seeing as my own hood has some slight damage aswell, I agreed to the deal.
Now my question is, my buddy, who is currently training with his friends dad at an autobody shop, gave me a rough estimate of how much it would cost to re-clearcoat my hood today.
He gave me a price of about $250 to $300. Maybe cheaper if I decide to have some other things re-cleared, and if my friend decides to re-clear some parts off his car too. Being honest, I've never had any carbon fiber parts re-cleared before, so I have no idea if this is a good price or not.
Is it?
-EDIT-
Realized there was a section just for this kind of thread...didn't see it before. Feel free to move it to the right section
