Metal brackets. It's good that the poly parts were changed out. I don't think it's anything to worry about. If they were warped you'd have noticed it. Stock end links warping over time is way more common.

You could be driving an 08+ Rex and have the plastic end links. SMH. What a failure that is!

thats for the older gen, but yes. The newer gen also has a plastic link but it's a ball and socket design. Yet another failure point I don't think is acceptable.

So, what do you recommend? Is it going to be beneficial to run it? Are there any aspects that will change due to the increased capacity?

Im not so interested in the oil capacity, it looks only marginal, but rather the filtration or filter media size. I would measure how much oil it holds and what size the filtering media is before even using it.
