My money is going in so many different directions right now and the 17x8's I have are still in excellent condition. Buying yet another set of wheels is years in the future for me...

...sooooo, **** it.

20mm in tire difference was noticeable for me. 245 to a 265. Steering was heavier but some vagueness was added. Fuel mileage also decreased.
I think the more important thing is better or grippier tires vs. just going wider. I think for most applications, sans heavy track use, just a better tire would benefit most vs. trying to slap the largest tire on possible.
I know the GD fenders are not as wide as the GR but I couldn't imagine a 17x9 causing problems if you keep the offset within reason and the tire size sane. When you think about it, the wheel is one inch wider but really only a half inch wider each side of the centerline
However the GD is not where my experience is and this would be better discussed in the appropriate thread.

Thanks! I think I put it on thick enough that I won't need to add a second coat, but we'll see when it's fully dried.

How long does it take to fully dry up?

It depends on temperature, but 24 hours should do it. The cracks that get filled in stay tacky for another day or two.
I lightly touched a couple areas that were almost dry an hour ago.

The GT Spec fender cowl braces arrived today. Wow... They are way bigger than I thought they would be....

Gonna try to get the motor mounts, pitch stop, and the fender cowls in the upcoming weeks. Should be an amazing difference!
