Hey everyone, I'm Rachel and I live in Seattle with my silver 2004 STi named Mallory. I've had it since 2006 and it's the love of my life. I purchased it from a friend who bought it new and modified it with a bunch of goodies...

STI pink coil springs and the hardened spring mounts, Perrin anti lift bars, Whiteline hardened steering bushings, Cobb tubular sway bars with Perrin end links, and STI front and rear strut braces. It has Cobb’s turbo back exhaust system, stainless steel brake lines and carbon tech panther brake pads. It has a light weight engine damper, an aftermarket blow off valve, K&N air filter, grounding kit and the Cobb AP.

Honestly, I'm not a gear head but I'm not opposed to learning...

Here's a few pics of Mallory:

Hey, Alin, thanks for the welcome!

I actually sold my 2000 Toyota Celica to get my hands on the STi. A friend at work owned the STi and he let me take it for a spin one day. I returned from my 120mph speed run with a perma-grin and weak knees and told him if he ever wanted to sell it, to let me know. A few weeks later he said he had decided to sell. I called my bank that day and 3 days later she was mine.

Previous to that I owned a 1973 VW Karmann Ghia and a 1985 Chevy Blazer K5.

Here's a few more pix I found on my FB...

Awesome!!!!! Always love hearing these kinds of stories!

So is the sti everything you imagined it would be and more?!

My guess would be ( I play rough )

Boogieman98 got it! I had the plates added to my K5 Blazer when I was 19 and they've been on every car since. They fit the STi the best. :D

Don't worry, Alin, not many people get it. One person ask if the plates said "I pee la roof" and they asked if it was German. :tard:

And yes, the STi is everything and more than I expected. I test drove an 08 a few years back and decided that there's no way in hell that I'm giving my baby up. I ended up replacing the engine at 64k and my odometer is at 107,500 now so she's basically new. Front and rear struts have been replaced within the last few years, she's got new brakes, tires and rims (after my hub ran her into a curb and I couldn't see spending $1k for an OEM replacement rim), clutch and turbo were replaced with the engine (turbo exhaust was cracked, I guess that's common for the 04s). I want to keep this thing alive for as long as possible.

I pee la roof. I will keep that in mind!

I have test driven an 05, 06, 07, 08, 10, and 11. I think the 04 is the best out of all those years. My next sti will have to be an 04 if and when i get another one.
IGOTASTi.COM knows! :subaru: :sti: :04ftw:
