Been pretty busy lately, but I think I'm going to get the garden planted this week. I've got a half dozen green bean seeds germinating at home since the middle of last week. I've got +1" sprouts on them already. Not sure if I should plant them just yet, as they do poorly in soil below 70*F. Maybe I'll start them in a pot in the house.

The dinner I made for the wife's mother's day dinner.

A goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at. (Bruce Lee)

I just planted a bunch of herbs and some tomoatoes.

Herbs: Laveneder, Oregano, Basil, Rosemary and Parsley.

I'm gonna be honest, a few of those are for some cocktails my wife wants to try.
An example is a Lavender Bees Knees (link). If you've never had a Bee's Knees, it's pretty damn good (though not "manly").

Always nice to finish something right before it starts raining

Especially when the fertilizer gets gently washed into the entire garden. Perfect!

You should make some homemade pesto with that basil. It's sooooo good, try it once and you'll be making it all summer long.

We eat unhealthy amounts of pesto...so good. And we do it from our own stock as much as possible, but our plant can't keep up!

Hand turned and fertilized, finishing just before it started raining. Win.

Garden fabric installed. This should help hold moisture and soil temperature, while smothering weeds.

All done for the night.

Garlic, shallots and garlic chives transplanted from the garden into their own pots. Sweet Basil, Cilantro and even some Catnip
(for Jen's two cats) potted, as well as a couple small flowers. While I planted the main garden, she handled this.
