The Nerd's 06 STi

Audio system had 2 Skar Audio VVX8D4 subs on an AudioQue 1200.1 amp until the Skar subs blew apart. I now a have an AudioQue HDC3 D2 10" sub to replace them. The car also has 2 runs of 0ga KCA KnuKnoceptz power wire. I also Added Infiniti Reference 6.5 Components to the front, and 5.25 Coaxials to the rear to replace the stock speakers. Before the Skars came apart it sounded awesome. Hopefully the 10 will be better. I wanted to keep the bass down with this vehicle since the truck is my stereo vehicle. Hopefully when I get back home from NYC, Miami, and Daytona I can order some summer rims and coilovers!

I've gotten bored with stereo stuff in the Subaru, and have gone back to a power chase. Stage 2 just isn't cutting it anymore. I'm about to get a protune, Cobb EBCS, WB 255lph pump, ETS TMIC, and a Blouch 18Gxtr on it. Also the subtle exhaust of the Cobb Catback is now gone. I'm running the loudest shit I could find, Crawford's Gymkahana exhaust. Paired with the sound from the Cobb intake and downpipe it sounds really mean. Thanks to Jordan at Defined also for helping me make a mountain of parts.

Vid of straightpipe nao! :tard: How excited are you about getting thr protune?

Jordan just helped make a mountain of parts at my house too!! Monday i do my GT3071R swap! When were done, we need to cruise and hit the casinos, lol. Cant wait to see your pics of the 18G swap!

Yeah, I just sold my old Tahoe that was my beater vehicle. I got sick of maintaining a 275,000 mile vehicle that only got 8mpg. I'm looking to buy a 2004.5 or newer Duramax as a new DD to take some driving load off my STi. I have access to a car hauler so it will make transporting it to tune much easier. So far I have the DW850s, WB255, Cobb EBC, and the ETS TMIC is on the way. I'm going to protune that setup first and see how it holds up before moving to the 18Gxtr. For the exhaust video go to 2:52, or enjoy the show. Me and some Subaru buddies crashed a C&C event.

Holy shit this thread is old! I've been crazy busy and haven't had time to post anything. No more stereo stuff, just a super sleeper now. Totally new setup. I had Kenny Kontras at Slowmotion Motorsports do my build. Blouch Dominator 2.5xtr, 5 0 motorsports 1200cc top feed injectors, Agency Power fpr, walbro 255lph fuel pump, Agency Power EL header, Grimmspeed up pipe with tial 44mm EWG, Invidia bellmouth catless dp, Cobb catback, ETS TMIC, perrin turbo inlet, cobb sf intake and box, cobb ebcs, CP pistons, eagle rods, Slowmotion aos, Competition clutch flywheel and clutch (I can't remember exactly what ones), and I'm probably forgetting half of it. Current setup makes 395whp and 412tq. I'm saving up now for a new flexfuel setup. The goal is an ATP GTX3076, AEM V2 standalone, fmic, and a few other supporting mods. I really enjoy having it look stockish but make decent power. It is very mild manneredon the street, but when you put the pedal down it screams and hauls ass. Anyone who wants a quality build near Columbus Ohio should look into having Kenny Kontras at Slowmotion Motorsports build their car.

The AEM EMS is probably the most capable unit of choice and I am using it in my Nissan right now, but it does take an awful lot of work to get it to daily drive like stock. Plus there is the legality of it in emissions states. I had to re-register my car as a 95 to get around it.

The Flex fuel feature is amazing though. Absolutely flawless transition when blending between maps and I never noticed one single hiccup when running different concentrations of ethanol. The thing has so many features and capabilities it will make your head spin. There is virtually nothing they didn't think of. I especially like the new fail safe monitors they implemented like fuel pressure, oil pressure, lean mixture, etc. Just some advice when you do go AEM, Run Speed Density and use the AEM map sensors and IAT sensor. This will give you the smoothest and best results IMO. Currently my car runs smoother and is way more responsive than the stock ECU and I would simply cry if I had to go back.

My next project is to setup and run phased injectors so I can have the idle and drivability of a small injector when daily driving on gasoline and the flow rate of the larger injectors when the demand is called for when in high boost or running E85. So far this is only an issue for me when I am running straight gasoline because the pulse injector pulse widths are to small during idle so it is not that smooth. The AFR's bounce around more when cruising as well. But on E85, things are like butter and silk.

Good luck with everything!
